Spain JESC 2019: Melani García will represent Spain in Junior Eurovision 2019

Melani García will be the Spanish rerpesentative in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice-Silesia , Poland. 

The Spanish broadcaster, RTVE, has revealed that the country will mark its comeback to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, after 13 years of absence, being represented by opera young singer Melani García .

A few words about Melani Garcia?

Melani was born in 2007 in the town LA Eliana in Valencia. Her first steps in music came at the age of eight, when she took part at the local choir and was taught Mozart’s opera ‘Due pupille amabili’ by her teacher. She has extended studies in classical music, and knows how to play the violin. At current time she is attending piano lessons. One of Melani’s releases is her debut single ‘Vivo Por Ella, is a homage to Andrea Bocceli and you can enjoy the young act in the following video:

Spain in Junior Eurovision 

Spain will be  participating in the forthcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice, Poland interrupting an absence of 13 years. The last time the country competed in the competition was back in 2006. 

During the four years Spain took part in Junior Eurovision, it achieved great results; two runner-up places in 2003 and 2005, fourth place in 2006 and first place in 2004 with María Isabel and her song “Antes muerta que sencilla”. In that same year, TVE achieved record audiences of 6 million viewers.

Even though the country has participated only 4 years, it has achieved remarkable results. In 2003 and 2005 was runner up , in 2006 fourth while in 2004 it had finished 1st with María Isabel and her song “Antes muerta que sencilla”
