Spain: On January 29 the Eurovision Gala of Operacion Triunfo.
Through the popular talent show Operacion Triunfo, the Spanish national broadcaster, TVE, will select the country’s next Eurovision representative. It was announced today that the Eurovision Gala of Operacion Triunfo will be held on January 29 , while the competing songs will be announced one week earlier, on January 23.
Only the last five remaining students of the Operacion Triunfo music academy will compete for the golden ticket that leads to the stage of the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The final winner will be determined exclusively by the t.v audience but it won’t mean that he will be the winner of the entire show.
From 2002 until 2004 TVE used the talent show of Operacion Triunfo to select the country’s artists for the Eurovision Song Contest, meeting good results.
Until the Eurovision Gala (29/01), three more participant will be eliminated . The contestants that remain in the show are :

- Aitana
- Alfred
- Amaia
- Ana Guerra
- Miriam
- Nerea
- Roi

The Eurovision Gala will be followed by the final of the talent show, without this meaning that the winner of Operacion Triunfo and the Eurovision Gala, will be necessarily the same artist.
