Sweden: 2nd semi final results of Melodifestivalen 2018; Samir & Viktor and Liamoo directly to the final.

The 2nd semi final round of Melodifestivalen 2018, Sweden’s Eurovision national selection,  took place tonight in  Gothenburg. After tonight’s event two more finalist were determined and another two artists qualified to the second chance semi final.

Host of the show, like in the 1st semi final was David Lindgren ( past participant in Melodifestivalen 2012, 2013 and 2016).

This evening’s 7 contestants were:

1. Samir & Viktor – Shuffla

 2.Ida Redig – Allting som vi sa

 3.Jonas Gardell – Det finns en väg

4. Margaret – In My Cabana

 5.Stiko Per Larsson – Titta vi flyger

Mimi Werner – Songburning

 LIAMOO – Last Breath

The voting included two rounds in which only the public  voted.  The first 5 who receive the most votes qualified to a second round of voting . These 5 acts were:

1. Samir & Viktor
2. Ida Redig
3. Margaret
4. Mimi Werner
5. LIAMOO

After the 2nd round the first two acts that qualified directly to the final were :

1. Samir & Viktor – Shuffla
2. LIAMOO – Last Breath

The two acts that finished in the  3rd and 4th placed and qualified to the second chance semi final were:

1. Mimi Werner – Songburning
2. Margaret – In My Cabana

Next week 17/02 the 2nd semi final will take place at Malmö Arena in the city of Malmö.
