Sweden : SVT reveals the Melodifestivalen 2018 stage.
As the Melodifestivalen 2018 dates are getting near, it was time for the Swedish broadcaster SVT to reveal this year’s stage. Melodifestivalen is without doubt one of the most popular national final events. According to SVT officials “this year it will be the tallest and biggest stage of all time”.
The stage will be 30 meters wide which is the widest ever recorded, including a 14 x 14 scene . In addition, 68 LED animated squares feature the backing stage, forming the shape of lightning on each side , while black columns between connect with the stage and allow the artists to create impressive images passing between them. The artists will be able to get closer to the audience via its horseshoe-shaped catwalk while the lightning displayed will be basically in white color so as to interact with the visual design and contradict the black colored stage.
On the other hand the green room seems to be changing location and instead of the being closer to the stage, this year it will be located far away at the end of the stadium mixing up with main area of the audience.
