Sweden: The Mamas win Melodifestivalen 2020 with their song “Move” and book their tickets for Rotterdam

After 4 qualifying semi final heats and a second chance semi final round, the Swedish national selection of Melodifestivalen 2020 reached this evening its Grand Final show. The Mamas were crowned winners of the Swedish national final with the song and will be representing Sweden in Eurovision 2020 next May in Rotterdam with their song “Move”
The final show took place at Friends Arena in Stockhlom and hosts of the show were Lina Hedlund, Linnea Henriksson and David Sundin.In the previous qualifying semi finals we saw a total of 28 acts compete. 7 acts in each semi final , from which 2 qualified directly to the final and two more to the second chance round. In the second chance round 8 acts took the stage performing in 4 Duels, the winner in votes from each duel filled qualified to the final show.
Therefore 12 contestants that competed in tonight’s final show of Melodifestivalen 2020 were :

The winner of Melodifestivalen 2020 will represent Sweden in Rotterdam and the final outcome was determined by a combination of public voting and an international jury voting which was made up from the following countries: Armenia, Australia, Austria, France, Iceland, Israel, Malta, The Netherlands.
The results of the International jury developed as following:
As the televoting results were added the final scoreboard led to two contestants THE MAMAS ans DOTTER which had 65 points each.
The public gave 73 points to The Mamas (Dotter got less votes) who were eventually crowned as the big winner of the night and the next Swedish Eurovision representatives with thier song Move.
