Sweden: Tonight the 4th semi final round of Melodifestivalen 2020
The Swedish national selection continues tonight as Melodifestivalen 2020 moves on to its fourth semi final round. The show will take place at Malmö Arena in Malmö , while hosts of the event will be Lina Hedlund, Linnea Henriksson and David Sundin. In this evening’s 4th semi final we will see 7 more acts compete for the two spots that lead directy to the final and two more to the second chance round.
The seven entries that will take the stage tonight are:
- Frida Öhrn – We Are One
- William Stridh – Molnljus
- Nanne Grönvall – Carpool Karaoke
- Victor Crone – Troubled Waters
- Ellen Benediktson & Simon Peyron – Surface
- Jakob Karlberg – Om du tror att jag saknar dig
- Hanna Ferm – Brave
Another interesting semi final round as Melodifestivalen 1996 winner with the group One More Time, Nanne Grönvall is back. Victor Crone after winning Eesti Laul 2019 and representing Estonia in Eurovision 2019 with his entry “Storm” (20th place) is now aiming to win the national final on home soil . Another return marks the past Melodifestivalen finalist Ellen Benediktson. Simon Peyron, who previously took part in Melodifestivalen as vocalist of the group Outtrigger while Frida Öhrn has been a past Melodifestivalen participant as member of the groups LaRoxx and Cookies ‘N’ Beans.
The voting process incudes two rounds, both in which only the public votes. In the first round the five acts with the most votes qualify to a second round of public voting. The first two acts in this second round qualify directy to the final while the 3rd and 4th will compete in the second chance round.
