Sweden: Tonight the Melodifestivalen 2020 grand final show

After 4 qualifying semi final heats and a second chance semi final round, the Swedish national selection of Melodifestivalen 2020 has reached its Grand Final show. The final show will take place at Friends Arena in Stockhlom and hosts of the show will be Lina Hedlund, Linnea Henriksson and David Sundin.

In the previous qualifying semi finals we saw a total of 28 acts compete. 7 acts in each semi final , from which 2 qualified directly to the final and two more to the second chance round. In the second chance round 8 acts took the stage performing in 4 Duels, the  winner in votes from each duel filled qualified to the final show.

Therefore are total of 12 contestants will be competing in tonight’s final show of  Melodifestivalen 2020. These are :

  1. Victor Crone – Troubled Waters
  2. Paul Rey – Talking in My Sleep
  3. The Mamas – Move
  4. Mohombi – Winners
  5. Hanna Ferm – Brave
  6. Mendez feat. Alvaro Estrella – Vamos Amigos
  7. Dotter – Bulletproof
  8. Robin Bengtson – Take a Chance
  9. Mariette – Shout it out
  10. Felix Sandman – Boys with Emotions
  11. Anna Bergendahl – Kingdom Come
  12. Anis don Demina – Vem e som oss

Among the contestants we see former Eurovision participants such as  Victor Crone (Estonia 2019),  Anna Bergendahl (Sweden 2010) ,  Robin Bengtson (Sweden 2017)  and  The Mamas that were last year’s participation the backing vocal of John LundvikAdditionally we see past Melodifestivalen contestants such as   MohombiHanna FermMendezAlvaro EstrellaDotterMarietteFelix Sandman and Anis don Demina. 

The winner of Melodifestivalen 2020 will represent Sweden in Rotterdam and the result will be determined by a combination of public voting and an international jury voting which is made up from the following countries:

  • Armenia
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • France
  • Iceland
  • Israel
  • Malta
  • The Netherlands
