Switzerland: Act and entry participation in Eurovision 2022 will be released on March 8

The Swiss broadcaster, SRF, has confirmed the date of the announcement of the act and entry in Eurovision 2022.

On March 8, 2022, Switzerland will unveil its representative as well as the song that will represent the country at Eurovision 2022 in Turin.

Switzerland uses the same form of internal selection that followed from 2019, when Luca Hänni took 4th place followed by Gjon’s Tears to 3rd place in Rotterdam last year. The Swiss participation was determined by a combination of a jury of 100 members and an international jury of experts.

Switzerland in Eurovision 

Switzerland is  one of the seven countries that had its first participation back in 1956.

Switzerland has won the contest two times, in 1956 with Lys Assia and 1998 with Celine Dion.

In 2021 Switzerland represented by Gjon’s Tears who sang Tout L’Univers which finished 3rd place with 432 points.
