Switzerland : Get to know Zibbz

Switzerland’s participation in this year, was decided through the Die Entscheidungsshow selection. The winner of the show was the group Zibbz who will represent Switzerland with their song “Stones”, in the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest. The composition and production of the song has been made by Corinne Gfeller, Stee Gfeller and Laurell Barker.

A few words about Zibbz and the Stones
Zibbz are the two brothers Corinne (32 years old) and Stefan Gfeller (31 years old). They come from Zurich, Switzerland, but they are active in Los Angeles. Corinne “Coco” Gfeller is the voice of the band while Stefan “Stee” Gfeller plays drums and keyboard but is also a producer. Since 2011 the band is located between Switzerland and the USA. From 2011 until 2015, they were presenting their lives in Los Angeles and their music career through a weekly television show in Switzerland. Their first completed album was released in 2013 under the title “Ready; Go!” and the second in 2017 under the name “It Takes A Village“. A great honor in their career was the composition of the official song for the Men’s World Floorball Championship in 2012 in Zurich.

Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest
Switzerland is the first country to win the 1956 contest with the late Lys Assia and in 1988 with Celine Dion. The country has managed to be at the bottom of the scoreboard nine times (1964, 1967, 1974, 1998, 2004, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016) and four times with zero points (1964, 1967, 1998, 2004). Last year Timebelle represented Switzerland with the song “Apollo“, who only managed to be in the 12th place of the semifinals.
