Switzerland: Melanie Rene flying to Vienna!

Last evening  Die Entscheidungsshow, the Swiss national final, was aired on the national broadcaster’s SRF channel, the winner of which represents the country at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Six acts battled to represent Switzerland at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest; each performing their potential Eurovision entry as well as a cover version of a famous song.

After the votes of the ten-member jury were combined with the public vote, it was Melanie Rene who prevailed with the song Time to shine. 

Melanie will succeed Sebalter as the Swiss representative at the Eurovision Song Contest , who last year in Copenhageb reached the final and finished in 13th place – bringing the  best result  for Switzerland since 2005.
