Switzerland: The three entries from the RSI internal selection

Switzerland this year is making a swift in the way of selecting its Eurovision participant and is leaving behind the Die Entscheidungsshow after recent years’ poor results.
A couple of weeks ago RSI, the Swiss-italian broadcaster, published 13 potential bids for the Swiss internal selection. An online public vote was held in order to select the most-loved 6 acts.
These six songs were the most voted on the online platform:
- Nick Antik – Until you will be mine
- Karin Cerini – Sorry
- Scilla Hess – Silence breakers
- Scille Hess – Playground
- Julie Meletta – Mama (I walk alone)
- SEBalter – Carry the light
RSI organised a public “regional final”. The six acts performed before an enthousiastic public. The selection was streamed on the website of RSI. The three acts that went through to the next phase of the national selection are:
- Julie Meletta – Mama (I Walk Alone) – 13 points
- 2. Sebalter – We’ll Carry the Light – 12 points
- 3. Scilla Hess – Playground – 7 points
As you can see Eurofans supported SEBalter’s return (Switzerland 2014) who won the online vote with his new title Carry the light. The same time the quest of the other national broadcasters SRF and RTS is underway. Once the submission of songs is completed for these broadcasters, two juries will evaluate the songs. All three broadcasters have a right to propose an entry as a wildcard.
The final outcome of the national selection will be determined by a 100 member fans panel and an international exprert jury. However the final date for the results to be revealed hasn’t been yet defined.
What do you think of the three RSI selected entries? Do yoy think one of those canbe the frontrunner in the Swiss national selection?
