Tel Aviv Rehearsals Day 6: Israel gets on stage for its first rehearsal

After last day’s rehearsals with almost all of semi final 1 countries making their 2nd rehearsal, rehearsals continue with the two remaining countries from the first semi final and nine from the 2nd semi final to conclude with the big 5 and host country’s first rehearsal. Therefore the day kicks off with Greece and concludes with Germany.

After Sweden and Austria being the two last countries to rehearse today from the semi final 2 group, the rehearsals moves into the Big 5 and host country schedule.

Up next for his first rehearsal is Kobi Marimi from Israel and his song “Home”. The winner of the Israeli edition of The Rising Star, will be competing in home soil ground. Can he repeat Netta’s achievement and keep the contest in the country for a second year?

The Israel representative appears on stage initially alone in a dark lighted scene and is wearing a black suit with a shirt under it. His jacket has tails. The song starts with a close up shot on him and as the performance moves on the picture opens up and we see the rest of the staging. On the background there are two rows of trapezoids , which are perimetrically lit up and by the chorus of the song display on the LED screens pictures of the Israeli act.

After two male and two female backing vocalists appear from behind the trapezoid shaped columns and join Kobi on the center of the stage.

At some point of the song Kobi leaves the central part of the stage and walks up along the catwalk on the front part of the stage, meanwhile a rain of golden sparkles starts falling on the background.
