The Netherlands: Douwe Bob premieres ‘Slow Down’

Last September Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS announced that Douwe Bob will represent The Netherlands at Eurovision 2016. Finally the time has come and this morning Douwe Bod revealed his song ‘Slow Down’. It was composed by Douwe Bob, Jan Peter Hoekstra, Jeroen Overman and Matthijs van Duijvenbode. As Douwe Bob says:

“Slow Down is a protest song against myself, against the pace at which I live life in Amsterdam. When walking through the forests of Sweden, or riding a horse through the fields in Spain, a peace descends on you and you see everything in a better perspective. It is such a great feeling! That is why Slow Down is also a state of mind. It is the liberation from the pressure of constantly having to do something. You should not let things get to you. Relax, do everything just that little bit slower and you will feel better and see everything more clearly.”
