A few words about Jeangu Macrooy
Jeangu Macrooy is born in 1993 in Paramaribo, Suriname. His musical journey begins when he receives a guitar from his parents at the age of thirteen and forms a musical duo with his twin brother Xillan. But Jeangu wants more, so in 2014 he boarded the plane to the Netherlands. There he meets producer / composer Perquisite, with whom he enters into a musical collaboration and who signs him with his label Unexpected Records. From that moment Jeangu steps through the Dutch music world with seven-mile boots. He becomes Serious Talent at 3FM, nominated several times for an Edison, a welcome guest at De Wereld Draait Door and participates in The Passion.
With two successful albums to his name and several sold-out club tours, Jeangu is increasingly revealing his potential. He knows what he wants better than ever: telling a story that is as honest as possible. With his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, Jeangu is confidently taking the next international step on the road ahead. A road full of ambition to make dreams come true, in a career that shines more and more.
