Tonight: Albania selects its Eurovision 2021 hopeful with the Festival i Këngës 59 final

After two shows the Albanian national selection reaches tonight the grand final show of Festival i Këngës 59 and is about to determine the nation’s Eurovision 2021 representative. 

The previous two nights we saw a total of 25 competing act perform their entries, the first night delivering the studio version of their songs while the second a more acoustic version of them. Following those shows a jury shortlisted the candidates down to 18 acts that will compete in tonight’s final show that will determine the final winner and next Albanian Eurovision representative.

The show will be presented to us by Blendi Salaj and Jonida Vokshi and directed by  Martin Leka and as both previous shows will take place in an open air venue at the Italian Square in Tirana due to covid-19 restrictions. For the same reason all performances have been pre-recorded while the jury voting and the award ceremony will be aired live this evening.

The 18 finalists that will battle for the ticket to Rotterdam are:

  10. Sardi Strugaj – Kam me t’ba me kajt
  11. Xhesika Polo – Më mbron
  12. Florent Abrashi – Vajzë
  13. Anxhela Peristeri  Karma
  14. Evi Reçi – Tjerr
  15. Inis Neziri – Pendesë
  16. Festina Mejzini – Kush je ti dashuri
  17. Kamela Islamaj – Ajo vajza
  18. Mirud – Nëse vdes
