Another Super Saturday with a total of 11 national selection shows taking place across Europe. Today we will see the Grand final of Eesti Laul 2019 in Estonia, the final of Supernova 2019 in Latvia, Croatia’s national final Dora 2019, Slovenia’s national final EMA 2019,  Melodifestivalen 2019 3rd semi final in Sweden, A Dal 2019 2nd Semi final in Hungary, Lithuania’s 2nd semi final of Eurovizija 2019, Iceland’s second semi final of Söngvakeppnin 2019 , Vidbir 2019 2nd semi final in Ukraine, the 4th Live show of Georgian Idol and  the 1st semi final of Festival da Canção 2019

Estonia- Eesti Laul 2019 Final

After two semi final rounds with a total of 24 comepting acts, the final day for the Estonian national selection of Eesti Laul has arrived. The final show will be aired live from the Saku Suurhall in Tallin.

In each semi final we saw 12 competing entries, with six acts from each round qualifying to the final. Therefore tonight’s 12 finalists are :

  1. Sissi – Strong
  2. Lumevärv ft. Inga – Milline päev
  3. Victor Crone – Storm
  4. Kerli Kivilaan – Cold love
  5. xtra basic & Emily J – Hold me close
  6. Kadiah – Believe
  7. Synne Valtri – I’ll do it my way 
  8. Stefan – Without you
  9. The Swingers, Tanja & Birgit – High heels in the neighbourhood
  10. Uku Suviste – Pretty little liar
  11. Inger – Coming home 
  12. Sandra Nurmsalu – Soovide puu

The winner will be dtermined after two rounds of voting, During the first round the public and an international jury will decide which three acts will qualify to a second seuperfinal round. In the second round only the public will determine which one out of the three acts will go on and represent Estonia at Eurovision next May in Tel Aviv.

Guest of the  show will be past ESC representatives, Elina Nechayeva (ESC 2018), Getter Jaani (ESC 2011) and Ivo Linna (ESC 1996).

Latvia – Supernova 2019 Final

So far we have watched 16 artists compete in two semi final heats of the Latvian national selection, Supernova. From these acts 8 only (4 from each semi final) won the ticket to compete in this evening’s final show, that will be hosted by Dagmar Legant and Ketija Schoenberg.

The 8 finalists of Supernova 2019 are :

  1. Markus Riva – You make me so crazy
  2. Edgars Kreilis – Cherry absinthe
  3. Aivo Oskis – Somebody’s got my lover
  4. Double Faced Eels – Fire
  5. Dziļi Violets feat. Kozmens – Tautas dziesma
  6. Laime Pilnīga – Awe
  7. Samanta Tīna – Cutting the wire
  8. Carousel – That night

The winner will come out from the public votes and the voting of jury formed by DJ RuddLinda Leen (singer), Ralf Eiland (singer member of the goroup PeR represented Latvia in ESC 2013) and Artis Dvariona (radio producer).

Slovenia – EMA 2019 Final

Tonight the Slovenian national final for Eurovision 2019, EMA 2019, will take place. The show will be presented to us by actor Ajda Smrekar.

A total of 10 candidates will take the stage tonight and battle for the right to represent Slovenia in Tel Aviv. The competing acts of the EMA 2019 final are:

  1. Kim – Rhythm back to you
  2. Renata Mohorič – Three bridges
  3. René – Ne poveš
  4. Fed Horses – Ti ne poznaš konzev
  5. Ula Ložar – Fridays
  6. Lumberjack – Lepote DNA
  7. Okusticni – Metulji plešejo
  8. INMATE – Atma
  9. Zara Kralj & Gašper Šantl – Sebi
  10. Raiven – Kaos

Two rounds of voting will determine the winner. At the first round the jury of the show will award to each entry 1- 5 points. The two acts with the highest amount of points will qualify to a second supefinal round. From these two only the public vote will determine which one will represent the country in Eurovision 2019.

Croatia – Dora 2019 Final

This evening the Croatian Eurovision 2019 national final , Dora, is set to take place. 16 entries will battle for the golden ticket to Tel Aviv. These are:

The winner will be determined by the public votes and the jury’s votes . The jury consists of 3 member committees from the country’s 10 administrative regions.

During the show Franka (Croatia ESC 2018), Vanna (Croatia ESC 2001) and Dino Jelusic (Croatia JESC 2003 – 1st place) will appear as guest of the show

Sweden – 3rd Semi Final

Sweden’s seek for its next Eurovision representative continues with, Melodifestivalen’s 2nd semi final  live from  Tegera Arena in the city of Leksand and will be hosted by Marika CarlssonEric SaadeKodjo Akolor and Sara Dawn Finer. In tonight’s 3rd semi final we will see another set of 7 acts compete for 2 places in the final and two spots in the second chance semi final round.

The 7 competing entries are : 

  1. The Lovers of Valdaro  Somebody Wants
  2. Dolly Style – Habibi
  3. Martin Stenmarck – Låt skiten brinna
  4. Lina Hedlund – Victorious
  5. Omar Rudberg – Om om och om igen
  6. Rebecka Karlsson – Who I Am
  7. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Norrsken

Among the competing acts is Martin Stenmarck, who represented Sweden at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev with his song “Las Vegas”. He finished 19th out of 24 competing songs in the final with 30 points. Other returning artists to the stage of “Melodifestivalen” are Jon Henrik Fjällgren (Melodifestivalen 2015 and 2017), Dolly Style (Melodifestivalen 2015 and 2016) and Lina Hedlund, who is best known for her participation as a member of Alcazar in 2009, 2010 and 2014. She also participated with her sister in 2002 and as a solo artist in Melodifestivalen in 2003. Omar Rudberg was a member of the boyband FO&O, that participated in Melodifestivalen 2017 with the song “Gotta Thing About You”.

The voting consists of two rounds in which only public voting determines the outcome. The first 5 top acts in the first round of votes move on to ta second round of voting. The first two qualify to the final direclty, while the 3rd and 4th qualify to the second chance semi final show.

Hungary – A Dal 2019 Semi Final 2

After the three first qualifying rounds and its first semi final round , the national selection of A Dal 2019 moves to its second semi final stage with the second and last set of nine contestants .

The 9 competing  acts of the 2nd semi final of A Dal 2019 are:

From these 9 only 4 will qualify to the final . The 3 qualifiers will be determined by a combination of public voting and votes by a jury ( Feró NagyLilla VinczeMisi Mező και Miklós Both) and one more qualifier will be selected by the public voting in a second round of voting. 

Hosts of the show will be once again  Freddie (Hungary ESC 2016) and  Dallos-Nyers Boglárka.

Lithuania  – Second Semi Final of Eurovizija 2019

This evening will take place the second semi final of Lithuania’s national selection, Eurovizija 2019. Hosts of the night will be  Gabrielė Martirosianaitė and Giedrius Masalskis. Today we will see the second and last set of 12 acts competing for a spot in the final of the show .

Lithuania’s 12 semi final hopefuls are:

  4. Original Copy – Power of Sounds
  5. Paola Hart – I’ll Be Alright

Only 4 acts will qualify to the final while the outcome will be determined by public and jury voting.

Iceland – Söngvakeppnin Semi Final 2

Today Iceland’s national selection , Söngvakeppnin 2019, moves on with the second semi final. Hosts of the show will be  Fannar Sveinsson and Benedikt Valsson.

Tonight we will see the rest 5 acts, out of the total 10 in this year’s selection,compete in the 2nd semi final . This evening’s 2nd semi final acts are: 

  1. Elli Grill, Skaði, Glymur – Jeijó, keyrum alla leið
  2. Friðrik Ómar – Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?
  3. Ívar Daníels – Þú bætir mig
  4. Tara Mobee – Betri án þín
  5. Heiðrún Anna Björnsdóttir – Helgi

Among the candidates we see Friðrik Ómar who as a member of  Euroband participated in Eurovision 2008 with the song This is my life and finished in the 14th place.

In the semi finals all songs will be performed in Icelandic language whille in the final as they will be presented in Eurovision in case of a win.

From these 5 contestants on 2 will qualify to the final. This will be determined by public and jury voting. The final will have up to 5 comepting acts while the national broadcaster reserves the right to pick one more finalist apart the 4 semi final qualifiers.

Ukraine – Vidbir 2019 Second Semi final

Ukraine’s national selection , Vidbir 2019, continues tonight with the second semi final show. The second set of 8 acts will compete in this evening’s show which will be hosted by Sergey Pritula.

The 8 entries of the 2nd semi final are:

  1. Ivan Navi – All for the Love
  2. Anna Maria – My Road
  3. Kazka – Apart
  4. Kira Mazur – Dykhaty
  5. Laud – 2 dni
  6. Khayat – Ever
  7. Braii – Maybe
  8. Freedom Jazz – Cupidon

From these 8 contestants only 3 will qualify to the final. The resutls will come out by the public votes (50%) and the jury votes (50%). The jury consists of Eugene Filatov (music producer and one of the founders of the group Onuka), Jamala (Eurovision 2016 winner) and Andreiy Danilko (Ukraine 2007).

Portugal –  Festival da Cançao 2019 First Semi Final

The Portuguese national selection for Eurovision 2019 kicks off tonight, as the first semi final of  Festival da Cançao is set to take place. Host of the show that will be held in RTP’s studios in Lisbon , will be  Sónia Araújo & Tânia Ribas de Oliveira.

Festival da Cançao 2019, will consist of three show (two semi finals and one final) and  total of 16 acts will be comepting this year. This evening we will watch the first set of 8 contestants compete in the 1st semi final round.

The 8 1st semi final competitors are:

  1. Ana Claudia– Inercia
  2. Joao CamposÉ o que é
  3. Soraia Tavares– O meu sonho
  4. CalemaA dois
  5. Conan Isiris– Telemoveis
  6. Ela LimaoMais brilhante que mil sóis
  7. Filipe Keil– Hoje
  8. Matay– Perfeito

From this evening’s 8 contestants only 4 will make it to the final. The result will be determined by public and jury voting equally. 

Namely, the jury of the competition is formed by the following members:

  • Júlio Isidro – Radio presenter and TV personality who has featured on the panel two times previously
  • Isaura – Singer and songwriter who represented Portugal at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with Cláudia Pascoal
  • Álvaro Costa – Radio presenter, DJ and TV presenter
  • Selma Uamusse – Singer from Mozambique
  • Pedro Penim – Founder and artistic director of Teatro Praga. He also presented the Blue Carpet event at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest
  • Maria João – Jazz singer and director
  • Rita Redshoes – Singer, songwriter, former Festival da Canção songwriter (2017)

Georgia – 4th Live Show of Georgian Idol

This evening will take place the 4th live show of the Georgian Idol, the show through which Georgia has decided to determine this year’s Eurovision act.

In the first show of the competition we saw 10 best acts that had been selected, after auditions all over the country, by a jury panel consisted of  Stephane Mgebrishvili (Georgia 2009), Natia Todua (winner of The Voice Germany), Tinatin Berdzenishvili (Director of media of GPB) and Zaza Shengelia (CEO of Bravo Records),

After three live shows 4 acts from the initial 10 contestants have already been eliminated and six remain in the competition. The 6 acts that we will see perform in tonight’s 4th live show are:

  • Liza Kalandadze
  • Nini Tsnobiladze
  • Giorgi Pruidze
  • Giorgi Nakashidze
  • Oto Nemsadze
  • Tamar Lachkhepiani

From these 7 again 1 more will be eliminated . The result will be determined by votes coming from the national and International audience through televoting and Facebook.
