After 5 live shows, Georgian Idol, the national selection format through which Georgia will determine its Eurovision entry this year, has reached its final show. During the 5 live shows a total of 10 candidates performed week by week in order to qualify to the next stage. After 6 eliminations we have our final 4 acts that will compete in this evening’s final to win the ticket to Tel Aviv. Host of the show will be Ruska Makashvili and Vaniko Tarkhnishvili.

The national broadcaster  GPB, has selected 3 potential Eurovision 2019 songs. This songs will be performed on the Georgian Idol stage by the 4 finalists. Composer of the songs are  Levan BasharuliRoma Giorgadze and Tamar Babilua, while all three songs are written entirely in Georgian language.

The 4 finalists of tonight’s final and the entry they will be performing each one are :

  • Oto Nemsadze- Sul Tsin Iare
  • Giorgi Nakashidze- Sul Tsin Iare
  • Liza Kalandadze- Sevdisperi Zgva
  • Giorgi Pruidze- Me Mjera

The winner will be determined by the Georgian and international audience that will have the ability to cast its votes through cell phones and Facebook. The show’s jury formed by  Stephane Mgebrishvili (Georgia 2009), Natia Todua (winner of The Voice Germany), Tinatin Berdzenishvili (Director of media of GPB) and Zaza Shengelia (CEO of Bravo Records) will be present to express only its opinion on the performances.
