Tonight: National selections continue with 7 more shows
Another set of 7 shows will take place tonight across Europe as ESC 2018 national selection finals and semi finals rounds are continuing this weekend. Specifically we will watch San Marino, Estonia, Iceland , Poland and Finland decide which acts and songs will represent them in the upcoming Eurovision Song contest next May in Lisbon. On the other Sweden will hold the second chance semi final which will close the list of finalists, while Lithuania will hold its 2nd semi final .
San Marino – Final
This year San Marino decided to hold the national final, 1 in 360, in order to determine its representative at the Eurovision 2018. Therefore, acts from all over the world submitted their participation in a video format performing a song. After that the public went on an online voting aiming to choose 3 wildcards, while the jury selected the other 8 semi final contestants.
Until today , 2 shows have been aired, during which the 11 acts performed 2 songs that were made for each one of them. By the end of the 2nd show the jury had decided which one of the two songs will the contestants perform in tonight’s national final that will be held in Bratislava.
The competing acts with their songs are:

The final winner will be determined by a combination of online public voting ,that has already kicked off since February 23, and a jury voting.

Estonia – Final
After two semi finals and a total of 20 competing acts , the day for Estonia’s national final, Eesti Laul has arrived. Hosts of the night will be Saku Suurhall , Meelis Kubo and Ott Sepp.
In every semi final that was previously held, from a total of 10 acts only 5 qualified to the final. Tonight’s 10 finalists are:

The winner will come out after two rounds of voting. In the first round the acts getting the highest points by Public and jury voting will qualify to the final. The jury consists of Lenna Kuurmaa, Eeva Talsi, Hanna Parman, Mariliis Mõttus, Kristjan Hirmo, Tomi Rahula, Jaanus Nõgisto, Dave Benton, Rainer Ild, Aleksandr Žemžurov and Erik Morna.
Guests of the show will be last year’s representatives Laura and Koit Toome.

Iceland – Final
For a successive 13th year , the Irish national broadcaster , decided to hold the country’s national selection , Söngvakeppnin. Söngvakeppnin 2018 consisted of 2 semi finals and the final that will take place tonight at the Laugardalshöll arena of Reykjavik. The show will be presented by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Björg Magnúsdóttir.
In the 2 semi finals we watched a total of 12 compete , having 3 3 qualifiers for each final qualify
Therefore the 6 finalists of Söngvakeppnin 2018, are:

- Ari Ólafsson – Our Choice
- Heimilistónar – Kúst og fæjó
- Aron Hannes – Gold Digger
- Dagur Sigurðsson – Í stormi
The winner will be determined exclusively by the televoting.
Guests of tonight’s final will be Robin Bengtsson (Swedeb 2017), Emmelie de Forest (ESC 2013 winner from Denmark) and and Svala (Ιceland 2017).

Poland – Final
Tonight the national final of Poland, Krajowe Eliminacje, will take place to determine the country’s next Eurovision 2018 representative in Lisbon. Host of the night will be Artur Orzech (Eurovision commentator for the Polish broadcaster) and will be aired live from the Polish broadcaster’s TVP studios in Warsaw.
A total of 10 contestants will compete in this evening’s final for the golden ticket that leads to Lisbon. The acts to perform are:

- Marta Gałuszewska – Why Don’t We Go
- Maja Hyży – Błysk
- Future Folk – Krakowiacy i górale
- Isabell Otrębus – Delirium
- Gromee feat. Lukas Meijer – Light Me Up

- Ifi Ude – Love Is Stronger
- Monika Urlik – Momentum
A combination of public and jury voting will determine the winner. The jury will consist of Kasia Moś (Poland 2017), Jan Borysewicz ( singer and guitarist of the group Lady Pank), Maryla Rodowicz (singer), Tabb (music producer) and Stefano Terrazzino (choreographer, dancer and singer ).
Måns Zelmerlöw will appear as a guest alongside with ESC 2004 Polish representatives Blue Café. Last year’s Poland representative Kasia Moś will perform on stage.

Finland – Final
The Finnish national broadcaster, YLE, this year decided internally that Saara Aalto will be the artist to fly the flag for the country in Lisbon, leaving to the national selection to determine the entry she will perform. During the previous weeks Saara’s three candidate songs were released. In tonight’s national final of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu one of the three entries will be decided to travel with Saara to Lisbon. The show will be hosted by Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013) and Mikko Silvennoinen (T.V presenter) and the show will be held at Espoo Metro Areena in the city of Espoo.

The ESC 2018 Finnish entry will be decided by a public voting and an international jury.

Sweden – Second Chance Semi final
Immediately after the 4th semi final was over , last Saturday night , the duels of the 2nd chance semi final round were announced. Today’s show of Melodifestivalen 2018, will be aired live from the city of Kristianstad and will be hosted by David Lindgren (past participant of Melodifestivalen 2012, 2013 and 2016).
Two contestants from each of the previous four semi final qualified directly to the final while another two qualified to this evenign’s second chance round. Tonight’s competing acts were split in 4 Duels from which the acts that received the most votes will join the other finalists in next week’s final:

Lithuania- 2nd semi final
The 2nd semi final of Eurovizijos, Lithuania’s national final for Eurovision 2018. The host will be once more hosted by Ugnė Skonsmanaitė and Mantas Stonkus.
After 6 qualifying rounds and a total of 50 acts , the national selection has reached its semi final phase where 14 semi finalists compete ( 7 in each final) to qualify to the grand final.
