Tonight: Where to watch 7 countries’ national selection shows

This evening another Saturday night with 7 natuonal selection shows. Today we will see the 1st semi final of Melodifestivalen 2019 take place, the 3rd qualifying round of A Dal 2019 in Hungary, the 4th qualifying round of Lithuania’s national selection, the 2nd semi final of Eesti Laul 2019 in Estonia and the 2nd semi final of Supernova 2019 in Latvia, while the Georgian Idol will see its 2nd live show take place and The Next Star in Israel another round of performances.
Sweden – First Semi final
Melodifestivalen 2019 kicks off tonight with the first semi final show. The show will take place at the Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg, and will be hosted by Marika Carlsson, Eric Saade, Kodjo Akolor and Sara Dawn Finer. In tonight’s semi final we will see a total of 7 acts compete for two spots that lead directly to the final and two more that lead to the Second Chance semi final.
The 7 entries of today’s first semi final round are the following:
- Nano – Chasing Rivers
- High 15 – No Drama
- Wiktoria – Not with Me
- Zeana feat. Anis don Demina – Mina bränder
- Arja Saijonmaa – Mina fyra årstider
- Mohombi – Hello
- Anna Bergendahl – Ashes to Ashes
The voting process will include two rounds, in which only the public will be voting. In the first round the first five with the most votes qualify to a second round fo voting. The first two in the second round will qualify directly to the final while the 3rd and 4th will go to the Second Chance semi final.

Hungary – A Dal 2019 Third Qualifying round
Tonight the 3rd qualifying round of Hungary’s national selection, A Dal 2019, will take place , during which another set of 10 entries will compete in order to qualify to the semi finals.
The entries of tonight’s 3rd qualifying round are :

- Leander Kills – Hazavágyom
- Mocsok 1 Kölyök – Egyszer

- USNK – Posztolj
Six acts from the 10 contestants of this qualifying round will move on to the semi finals that are set to take place on February 9 and 16 . A jury and the public will determine which 6 acts will qualify to the semi finals.
In the first round of voting the judges will award points to each song with 10 being the highest. The public voting will be added to that of the jury’s in order to determine which 5 acts will directly qualify to the semi finals. In the second round of voting the 5 remaining act will face another round of public voting that will determined which act will be the sixth and last act to qualify to the semi finals.
Hosts of the show will be Freddie (Hungary 2016) alongside with Dallos-Nyers Boglárka. The jury will consist of the following members Feró Nagy, ή Lilla Vincze, ο Misi Mező and Miklós Both

Lithuania – Fourth Qualifying
Tonight the 4th qualifying round of Lithuania’s national selection, Eurovizija will be broadcast. Hosts of the tonight’s show are Gabrielė Martirosianaitė and Giedrius Masalskis.
Today we will see a total of 11 candidates competing in order to win a spot in the semi finals. These are the following:
- Valerija Iljinaitė – Scars Are Beautiful (2 jury points)
- Indrė Juodeikienė – Bad Option (1 jury point)
- Alen Chicco – Your Cure (4 jury points)
- Queens of Roses – Runaway (7 jury points)
- Živilė Gedvilaitė – Learn from Your Love (7 jury points)
- Elizabeth Olshey – Never Enough (Of Your Love) (0 jury points)
- Gabrielė Rybko – Lay It Down (3 jury points)
- Saulės Kliošas – Laiko mašina (10 jury points)
- Soliaris – Song of My Life (7 jury points)
- Monika Marija – Light On (12 jury points)
- Henry & Tommy Modric – Neverpart (8 jury points )

Estonia – Eesti Laul 2019 2nd Semi Final
Tonight at 18:00 CET the 2nd semi final of Estonia’s national selection, Eesti Laul, will take place at the Athletic University foundation of Tartu.
A total of 12 acts will be competing in this evening’s final aiming to win one of the spots that lead to the Final show. The 12 entries of tonight’s show are:

- Lumevärv feat. INGA – Milline päev
- Sissi – Strong
- Cätlin Mägi & Jaan Pehk – Parmumäng

The results will be determined in two rounds. During the first round the combined results from jury and public voting will send 4 acts directly to the final. After a second round of voting, only by the public will send two more acts to the final.

Latvia– Second Semi final
Watch tonight live the 2nd semi final of Latvia’s national selection, Supernova, which begins at 20:25 CET
The comepting acts and songs of tonight’s 2nd semi final show are the following :

From these 8 entriws , half of them (4) will qualify to the Final show. The results will be determined 50% by a special national committee formed by DJ Rudd, Linda Leen (singer), Ralf Eiland (singer) και Artis Dvariona (radio producer) while the public vote will contribute with another 50%.

Georgia – 2nd Live Show of Georgian Idol
Last week we watched taking place the first live show of Georgian Idol, the show through which Georgia has decided to determine this year’s Eurovision act.In that first show we saw 10 acts that had been selected, after auditions all over the country, by a jury panel consisted of Stephane Mgebrishvili (Georgia 2009), Natia Todua (winner of The Voice Germany), Tinatin Berdzenishvili (Director of media of GPB) and Zaza Shengelia (CEO of Bravo Records),
While in the first show we saw two acts go home in tonight’s 2nd live show th remaining 8 act will compete to qualify to the next round. These are:
- Ikako Aleksidze
- Dima Kobeshavidze
- Liza Kalandadze
- Nini Tsnobiladze
- Giorgi Pruidze
- Giorgi Nakashidze
- Oto Nemsadze
- Tamar Lachkhepiani
From these 8 again two more will be eliminated . The result will be determined by votes coming from the national and International audience through televoting and Facebook.

Israel – The Next Star 2019
Israel continues its search for the next Eurovosion representative with the next show of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion where 8 acts remain in the competition.
In these stage fo the show the 8 acts will compete in duels . The judges of the show Static & Ben-El Tavori, Keren Peles, Harel Skaat (Israel 2010), Shiri Maimon (Israel 2005) and Assaf Amdursky, can award 0 or 8 points to each contestant while the rest of the votes are awarded by the public. The act with the lowest amount of positive votes leaves the competition.
The 8 competing acts of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion are :
- Ketreyah
- Ofri Calfon
- Shefita
- Tai
- Daniel Barzilai
- Maya Buskila
- Shalva Band
- Avraham de Carvalho
The 8 candidates will compete in 4 duels, during which the act with the most positive votes of the jury formed by Static & Ben-El Tavori, Keren Peles, Harel Skaat (ESC Israel2010), Shiri Maimon (ESC Israel 2005) and Assaf Amdursky, will get the ticket for the next round. Each juror can award 0 or 8 points to each contetant.
