Ukraine: Alina Pash wins Vidbir 2022 and books her ticket for Turin

Alina Pash is the big winner of Vidbir 2022 and will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022 with his song “Tini zabutykh predkiv” (Shadows of forgotten ancestors).

The host of the show was Maria Efrosinina, who was one of the hosts of Eurovision 2005, while Timur Miroshnychenko, who co-presented at Junior Eurovision 2009, Junior Eurovision 2013 and Eurovision 2017. A total of eight contestants compete in the final of Vidbir.

The 8 contestants appeared on stage in the following order:

1. Cloudless – “All be alright”

2. Michael Soul – “Demons”

3. Our Atlantic – “Moya lyubov” (My love)

4. Barleben – “Hear My Words”

5. Kalush Orchestra – “Stefania”

6. Roxolana – “GIRLZZZZ”

7. Wellboy – “Nozzy Bossy”

8. Alina Pash – “Tini zabutykh predkiv” (Shadows of forgotten ancestors)

The result of the national final was determined by a combination of a jury and a public vote. The jury consisted of three members:

  • Tina Karol – Urkainian Eurovision 2006 act
  • Yaroslav Lodygin – UA:PBC producer
  • Jamala – Eurovision 2016 winner for Ukraine

2. Kalush Orchestra – “Stefania”  (6+8) –  14 points

3. Wellboy – “Nozzy Bossy”  (7+6)  – 13 points

4. Roxolana – “GIRLZZZZ”  (3+5) – 8 points

5. Barleben – “Hear My Words” (4+3) – 7 points

6. Our Atlantic – “Moya lyubov” (My love) (5+2) – 7 points

7. Cloudless – “All be alright”  (1+4 ) –  5 points

8. Michael Soul – “Demons”  (2+1)  – 3 points
