Ukraine: The 10 finalists for Junior Eurovision 2018 selection revealed.

The Ukrainian national broadcaster  UA:PBC revealed the names of the competing artists for the Junior Eurovision 2018  national selection. 

Although the country initially withdraw from the contest due to financial issues of the broadcaster, it got back on the train on August 2 and his holding an online selection. A total of 10 acts will compete in the national final and according to UA:PBC the contestants are the following:

  1. Kain Rivers – Without Saying Goodbye
  2. HAOS – Nenormalne lito
  3. The Sparks – We Are Part of This
  4. Denis Rodin – Batky
  5. Yarina Taras – Sonyachnyy bit
  6. Irina Ignatenko – Ya z toboyu
  7. Alexander Balabanov – My dity zemli!
  8. Darina Krasnovetsky – Say Love
  9. Polina Pizartsova – Ty povir v lyubov
  10. Sofia Ivanko – Chomu?

The public online voting will be open up to September 3 . Following the public voting, a special jury will take in mind the result and will be the one to take the final decision.  The jury will consist of the  Taras Topolya (Frontman of Ukrainian band antibodies) , Sasha Koltsova (Singer), Laud (Singer and composer), Sofia Kucenko (Singer and winner of international competitions), Maria Burmaka – (Head of the jury)

Junior Eurovision 2018 will be held on November 25 in Minks Arena , Belarus .

The Story So Far in Junior Eurovision

Ukraine participated first time in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and since then has never missed a contest.  In 2012 the country was crowned winner with  Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song Nebo, receiving a total of eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time being in 2009 and the second being in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
