Ukraine: The results of the first semifinal.

The first Ukrainian semi-final, or as it is called, Vidbir, was finished some minutes ago. The first show took place at the Palace of Culture in Kiev, and a total of nine songs were played out of which three qualified for the final.

The results were judged by 50% by the public and by 50% by the jury. The jury was composed of three members, Jamala, winner of Eurovision 2016 with the song “1944“, Andriy Danylko, known to eurofans as Verka Serduchka, who in 2007 came 2nd in the scoreboard in Helsinki, with the song “Dancing Lasha Tumbai“. The third member of the jury is Eugene Filatov, known as The Maneken, who is a singer, producer and creator of the band ONUKA, which appeared as an interval act in last year’s Eurovision final. The semi-final also featured the Czech entry of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Mikolas Josef, who sung his entry with the tittle “Lie to Me“.

The second semi-final will be held on February the 17th, while the big final in two weeks from now on 24th.
