United Kingdom: James Newman releases an acoustic version of “Embers”

The UK’s Eurovision 2021 act, James Newman has released an acoustic version of his Eurovision entry, “Embers”

James Newman joins the list of Eurovision 2021 hopefuls that have performed an acoustic version of their song , which have been published on the official Eurovision Youtube Channel.

James Newman was invited back this year to represent the UK at Eurovision 2021 after last year’s unfortunate cancellation of the contest in Rotterdam due to the covid-19 pandemic.This year’s entry , ‘Embers’ , is more pop and an uptempo song , which you can categorize it in the easy listening tracks.

Now James has premiered an acoustic version of his song which you can listen to below: 

James Newman in Eurovision

Last year James Newman was set to represent the country with the song “My last breath”. The song was signed by Ed Drewett, Adam Argyle and Iain James. Among others, they’ve written numerous hits for established acts, including Little Mix, Dua Lipa, One Direction and Olly Murs. Iain James is also a past Eurovision winner as he was co-writer of the ESC 2011 winning entry “Running Scared” by Ell & Nikki for Azerbaijan. With the cancellation of the contest due to the covid-19 pandemic he never had the chance to reach the Eurovision stage.

This year he is set to perform ‘Embers’ in the Grand final show on May 22, 2021 in Rotterdam Ahoy as he is representing a Big-5 country.
