Wales: Listen to the revamped version of the Junior Eurovision 2018 entry “Berta”
The final version of Wale’s entry for Junior Eurovision 2018, “Berta” was released and added on the official Junior Eurovision channel.
Last week Manw was crowned winner of the Welsh national final Chwilio am Seren and will represent the country at its debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. During the second round of the national final , which determined the winner, the three finalist performed the song “Hi yw y Berta” ( You are the prettiest), which was to be the country’s JESC entry. However the broadcaster had decided to revamp the song before releasing the final version of the entry.
The lyric are written by Welsh song writter Ywain Gwynedd, while the changes on the initial national final version aim to make it more likeable to the international audience. The title changed into “Berta” (Prettiest) but the song still maintains in its lyrics the first title of it ‘Hi Yw y Berta’ .
The official music video of the song has already thousands of views on the web and features an optimistic positive vibe while Manw showcases various places of her land from the coast to the coutryside.
